Typically, the referrals that I make to my clients are not due to a request from the client. If they tell me that there going to be buying a new house, I have an opening to ask them about the real estate agent, mortgage person, and P and C insurance agent.

If a client complained to me about having difficulty dealing with the child, I will refer the client to Susan Morley, who is a parenting coach.

The client mentions that they’re responsible for organizing the big event for their church, I will bring up Steve Cohen, a caterer on my team.

My opportunities to make a referral usually come up indirectly in my conversations with clients.

Estate planning attorney to draft their wills, POA, and Advanced directive.
I have someone that I use for basic wills and trusts. I refer my clients to her because I had personally been interviewing someone to do my own documents so I could see their process first hand. She was amazing. She explains things in a very simplistic fashion, never made me feel like any of my questions were stupid, was very prompt in completing the packet, and she goes to my clients.

    Contractor –

    Characteristic should include:
    Quality work craftsmanship
    Reasonable pricing
    An exceptional customer focused service

When I refer someone to work in or on someone’s property, I want to know that the person I am sending them reflects well on my judgment.
