What do I do when I get to the meeting?

1: Put your things down.
2: Get coffee.
3: Talk to people.  This is the important thing. 

Year ago I watched a woman walk around the table, before the meeting, shaking hands with people and exchanging names. I was so impressed with her. She was a Mary Kay consultant, and I used that – her natural gift as a salesperson – to explain her behavior and justify my inability to model it.

Then I found out her previous career had been with the FBI.

Then I found out my excuse wouldn’t fly.
There are no excuses that will make me money. Whether I’m comfortable or not isn’t the question.
The question is: what’s the right behavior for me right now?
The answer is: walk around the table, introduce yourself to people you don’t know (having another chat with the guy you had coffee with last week is  –  gotcha) particularly Visitors and Subs.
