When Will I Be Asked To Be On Leadership?

  • Officer’s terms are 10 months long.
  • The current LeadershipCore – the five primary Officers – is the nominating committee for the incoming term.
  • Nominations begin three months before turnover, with a coaches workshop called Power Leadership. Right after that meeting the Coach will sit down with the LeadershipCore and develop a slate of three nominees for each role.
  • You want to be an Officer. Officers get more referrals, both during and after their term of office, than Members in the same classification who have never held an Officer’s position.
  • You want to hold a position in your area of strength, to showcase your credibility.

Watch the current Officers:
TeamCoOrdinator runs the meeting and chairs the LeadershipCore – who make all decision about the group.
ParticipationCoOrdinator schedules 7-Minute presentations, introductions, and is the liaison with the Coach.
VisitorCoOrdinator greets Visitors and follows through to answer questions.
MembershipCoOrdinator chairs a committee that makes decisions about individuals – 90 day renewals, classification boundaries, attendance, participation.
MentorCoOrdinator selects Mentors for new Members, so they come up to speed as quickly as possible, mentored by friends, instead of learning by tripping.

Which would you be best at?
Go to that Officer now (they’re going to be on the nominating committee) and offer your assistance. Let them know you’re interested in the role for next term.
