The purpose of a coffee meeting, {you understand the word “coffee” means time together, right? Could be lunch, or golf, or a drink after work.} is to learn about each other’s business, in order to recognize referral opportunities, and have the credibility required to be willing to refer our best clients to each other.

It is not ever appropriate to prospect a Team Member. To reinforce that we are coming together as peers, to learn about each other’s business mutually, and equally, we each pay for our own lunch. No bribery. No obligation.
