What to DO to GET Referrals: Element: Credibility | Topic: Leadership – Worked to Learn
I continually work to develop communication skills. As an accountant and a numbers person, it is easier to solve the issue on paper than it is to follow through with the client and insure their understanding. Clients not only want the answer to issues, but to understand the reasoning. In some cases in our world the reason is simply, “it is a rule”, but this can be communicated in such a way that clients understand the rule, even if the reason may be elusive. Communication sets us apart as a firm as well as our skills in taxation. The officer that works well with accounting is membership coordinator as it combines the math – tracking referrals/participation and communication with the team.
