    Referral records are the tool for this.
    Keep referral records handy – in front of you at the meeting, at your desk, extras in your Team Roster, and in the portfolio you use with prospects.

    Capture the idea for a referral, then reach out to the person you thought about and ask if they’d like an introduction.

    When they say “Yes, that would be great,” tell them the day you’ll pass on their contact information to your Team Member. That’s the day you pass the white copy of the referral record around the table and put the yellow copy in the tray.

    When they say “Oh please yes, I need that right now,” make a 3-way call or send a 3-way email. Then, in the next meeting, pass the referral record. Often the Team Member will report that the business is already done!
