    The business card for The Entry Enforcer features a stylized shield based on a medieval shield used to protect swordsmen and similar in design to that used by many police. That and the slogan “Stop Burglars Before They Get In” readily gives an image of the protective barrier that door & window reinforcing by The Entry Enforcer give the homeowner. Duncan and his team are chivalrous white knights in the quest for home security.

    The card I received belonged to Michael Smith of Momentum Construction. The card is of a very thick stock and has precise information in a very legible font. Like Mike, it shows an attention to detail and precision that you do not find in other contractors. Additionally, the card has an elliptical orange swoosh design that shows a flair for design which shows in his Kitchens and bathrooms after completion.

    The card I selected was Jon Ongtingco of Soho Data and Voice. Jon’s card had big block letters and conveys a sense of knowledge and authority. I tell referrals that Jon knows his field and there is no issue they have with their telecommunication or internet service that he cannot resolve. I emphasis that Jon is going to come in, get the job done, and be on his way with very little intrusion.

    I got Lana Haynes card, our banker from First Citizens Bank. It is exactly what you would want from your banker. Clear, specific, contact information meets your eye immediately in an easy-to-read font with the bank logo prominently, but not ostentatiously, displayed. The colors are pleasing to the eye, but do not detract from the information presented. First Forever!

    The business card I chose was Sam Thornton with Ackerman Security. The business card showed credibility with some accreditations they have prominently displayed on the card along with all the various ways to contact him. And on the back side of the business card it showed the services they perform. Great business card to give a prospect.

    I selected Joy’s card – The Edwards Law Group. Like Joy, her card is very detailed – all the information you need to know about her business location and the services she provides are there, listed on her card. The color of her card, is subtle, yet catches the eye, which I believe goes along with her no nonsense attitude. Joys knows her stuff and her card captures that.

    The business card for Rhonda Jones of Edward Jones, like many industry cards do, features her picture. I believe this image supports what is important in her financial services position. The image shows her as a professional but approachable which is important in her role. The card contains what appears to be important credibility letters behind her name (although I personally do not know what it stands for). The contact info is appropriately conservative and there in no doubt she is with her chosen partner Edward Jones. The last sense the card gives you is what you want to know when you refer her…. Rhonda is “Making Sense Of Investing.”

    I picked the business card of Mark Chase, our CPA on the team. The card is a calm shade of blue, which reflects Mark’s calming personality. His last name is drawn meticulously, in cursive. This reflects the way he handles transactions. He takes a methodical approach. He is very careful when he faces each twist and turn, and he dots all i’s and crosses all t’s along the way.

    The card I selected was that of Karen DeRuyter, the team’s stager and interior designer. Karen’s card is organized, descriptive and colorful. It has both a weight and feel that indicates quality. All of her contact info is easy to locate and it displays her professional certification. Having both referred clients to Stage Right Design, LLC and worked with Karen directly I can attest to the fact that she is organized, dependable, and creative. Karen takes great pride in doing quality work in a timely fashion and is a true professional.

    The card I selected is Erica Ramsey of Peachy Pawtraits. Her business card shows an actual “pawtrait” that she designed and is now her logo. The cute yorkie allows me to show potential referrals exactly what she does. In addition, the card has whimsical wording that shows Erica’s personality and the fun experience her clients receive during the pawtrait development stages.

    I pulled Melissa Baird’s card for Sweet Melissa’s Pet Sitting Service.
    Her card states “Where Pets Are People Too”. With that outlook, how could you to trust your beloved Fur Babies with her? The card is heavy and has all the needed info neatly organized and well thought out. This how she approaches each of her clients, 2 legged and 4 legged; well thought out and very organized. She will go the extra step to ensure the Fur Baby is well cared for and even sends videos of them to their parents when she takes them out for walks, etc. Her email id is sunflowerqueen@me.com. That makes me happy and makes me smile, just as her care for her Fur Baby clients warms my heart.

    I wasn’t there to pull a card today . . . currently in Guatemala 🙂 But if I had been there. . . and pulled a card. . . the quality of the card stock would be noticed along with clear and easy to read fonts. Both of those reflect quality of service to me.

    I pulled out Patrick’s card for exceptional cleaning. What I liked most about his card was his list of services and costumer care guarantee on the back of his card. When I hand out his card I can say that everything on the back of his card is true because I use his cleaning services and they truly are exceptional.

    I had the pleasure of picking a visitor’s card –
    Alex Boy, owner of Big Orange Tech – his company offers telecom, internet, and cloud solutions for businesses.
    The first thing I noticed is the cheery light orange hue of the card that reinforces the name of the company.
    It was an unusual color that psychologically suggests happiness, energy, creativity. The color is a smart design decision in that it reinforces that there would be a positive outcome when my referral calls Alex to help with issues like slow connection, etc.
    I also appreciate the thickness of the paper stock and the high quality of the printing. These are cards that are slightly heavier and more expensive to print than regular card stock. The quality of the finished card engenders credibility for Alex. I would never have guessed Alex’s company just opened its doors!

    The business card I reviewed was for Frank E Patterson, DC DACNB. His card distinctly described all the that he provides to his potential clients (Brain Rehabilitation and Chiropractic Neurology). His card colors are reassuring and appealing. His card is uncluttered and has all the ways I can reach him. He used his logo on the back of the card and I like it as opposed to trying to accommodate a lot on the front card.

    The business partner’s card I’m going to talk about is Delphine LaGroon. She is with American Family Insurance and one thing I noticed on her card is that she has her picture. She has a warm trusting smile, this reenforces my comments about how she is there to help, but if she can’t she will let you know. She also has information about the products and services she provides as well multiple was she can be contacted.

    I pulled Jim Duelmer’s card of Vinings Mortgage. The first thing I notice when I pick the card up is that the stock is a high quality. That tells me that the Jim doesn’t cut corners when it comes to doing business. The card also has every way of contacting him and his outfit at Vinings Mortgage save for a smoke signal. That tells me that Jim is someone who not only wants to be able for his clients to reach him but that he will leave no stone unturned in the pursuit.

    Brock Cline from Insperity was the card that I picked. It uses a combination of blue and green printing. The company name is in blue which is a color that represents stability and longevity – some of the best brands in the country use blue for their branding – IBM and Sub-Zero to name a few. Brock’s business card has that feel. The other item I noticed is that Brock had all of his contact information on the card – office/mobile/fax but also his business address – if my clients want to contact Brock, it’s as easy as picking up his card and making a choice.

    Lou Beltrami of the Beltrami Law Firm was the card that I picked. Lou has the key piece of information I use whenever I refer a client to someone. I prefer sending a three-way email to introduce a client to Lou or any other business person. When I do, I always provide an active link to their website and when possible straight to the person’s bio so that the client knows that they’ll be dealing with a real person on the other end. I always like to see the website prominently on a person’s card.

    Joy Edward’s of the Edward’s Law Group business card reflects her practice; high quality, no nonsense, contact information with a splash of color. Joy’s acerbic wit and common sense approach to high stress situations created through the family dramas of marriage, divorce, adoption and child support give me confidence to refer my friends and clients who are dealing with life.

    William K. Crumpler, Insurance Agent is the the business card selected. His major concentration is the senior market and on the back of his business card it says “For the life of your retirement”. This phrase supports the assertion that he is a insurance retirement expert.
