Do you say “I’ll see her Thursday morning – I’ll give her your number.” Or do you dial the Member right then, explain the situation, and hand your client your phone? Share your favorite technique to insure you’re giving great referrals. |
When I have a possible referral, I try to use the medium of communication the prospect prefers to first see if they would be interested. Often, that means sending a text or making a quick call. Once they confirm they are interested in the connection, I will send a 3-way email connecting the referral to the member. If the referral is complex, a potentially big project, or a GateOpener for the member, I will often suggest a meeting day, time and location so I can be there to help facilitate the connection in person.
