-A connection that is not good for me is a very large company that ships frequently. My service is designed for people who don’t ship often enough to qualify for big discounts.
-As a favor, I’ll ship personal items for Powercore members at just 5% above my cost. This is a huge discount.
-My ideal business profile is either a wholesaler who ships freight or a retailer who ships internationally.
-My best harvest ever would be a referral to company that imports from other countries and also exports to customers all over the world – especially if they are new at it.

1 – Not good for me would be a non-US citizen due to rules and regulations.
2 – A client that I would take as a favor would be the college kid starting our his first job. He would like some guidance but may not have the assets to start planning. This could create a long-term relationship with us.
3 – The Profile of an individual that we look for has 2 sides. First a young family getting started with life that needs to be educated on the different facets of planning. Second is someone retiring that needs to understand how the social security benefits and their personal savings should work together.
4 – A small business with 2-30 employees looking for advice regarding group plans such as 401K, Insurance and Health.

    1. A client that wouldn’t be good for me would be a large commercial or industrial company since these buildings can range from 100,000 to over a 1,000,000 sqft these would tax my time and resources to the point where the primary function of my business (home inspections) would be put on hold.

    2. A client that would take as a favor would be a 1st time home buyer that has very limited resources. I have let people pay in installments to make it easier.

    3. My ideal business profile is a busy real estate professional who is looking for an inspector who she knows is professional, tactful, and skilled in communicating the true condition of the property in a manner that’s easy to understand.

    4. A busy investment company that focuses on residential and small commercial properties would be ideal for my company since this would offer a steady flow of business.

[1] A client that would not be a good connection for me is a client looking for legal services out side of real property law. I handle real estate sales and probate filings/will preparations. A client needing a litigation attorney is not going to be someone I can ultimately help.
[2] I am always happy to help clients in need of more generic legal advice or will happily refer them to the correct attorney that can handle their case. While preparing deeds to transfer title to a property are sort of an on base referral for me, it is always one I am happy to handle.
[3] The clients I want are real estate agents and individual home buyers and sellers. This is the bread and butter of my profession.
[4] Introduction to new real estate professionals looking for a closing attorney to refer their clients to that they can trust would be my ideal client. It would build a lasting and home-run relationship often.

    1. As much as I love bar gigs, a poor connection for me would be a bar owner. It’s just not the image we are looking for.
    2. A favor from me would be providing entertainment services for a non profit. We try to help out where we can.
    3. I try to keep connections with any business in the wedding industry.
    4. The best harvest for me would come from a wedding venue that is in need of reliable entertainment.

    1) A company or business owner who already has an established marketing agency or designated marketing role that they are happy with.
    2) As a favor to the team, I would take a not-for-profit client on a shoestring budget whose mission and purpose is to help alcoholics into 12-step recovery programs.
    3) My ideal clients are pastors, ministers, or spiritual directors who know they need help with marketing but don’t have the time, knowledge or desire to do it.
    4) The type of business that would grow my best harvest ever is a business who needs a monthly business blog for their website or content for a monthly e-newsletter to send to their clients or customers.

    1. A restaurant that is looking for pest control would not be a good client for me. We only service commercial and residential homes.
    2. As a favor, we would take a veteran as a client.
    3. My ideal clients would be property managers, builders, real estate agents, and home inspectors.
    4. My best harvest would be a client that wants termite/wildlife coverage.

    1) Not good for me would be someone who is not willing to try alternative medicine.
    2) A friend or family member who has PTSD and can’t function.
    3) Families that are interested in correcting any problems they have by getting to the root cause of the problem to
    achieve optimum health.
    4) Medical professionals that are willing to send their patients to an alternative health practitioner if they know that would be in the best interest of the patient.

    1. I person who is looking to rent a house indefinitely is not usually a good referral for me, since it usually costs me more in gas than I can recover in a rental commission. However….
    2. As a favor, I have helped people who were in a pinch fina rentals.
    3. My ideal clients are executives who work in Atlanta but commute to the suburbs for the good schools and low crime they can find outside the big city. They want to know that the details of their relocation are covered without their having to spend time away from the job that earns their family’s income.
    4. My best harvest would be a HR manager at a company who is relocating employees to the Atlanta / South Atlanta area and wants to make sure that the employees are welcomed to the area by a professional who understands the importance of the commute to their new job

1 – People with “exotic” animals (e.g. reptiles, birds, small mammals) or people who are looking for rehabilitation for wildlife are not good clients for me. I don’t have the specialized training to treat these animals.

2 – A client I would only take as a favor would be someone who had been declined service at another veterinary hospital due to being belligerent with the staff.

3 – My ideal clients are pet owners who treat their pets like children. People who are interested and invested in keeping their pets happy and healthy as long as possible and have left behind the mindset of, “it’s just a dog/cat.”

4 – My best harvest would be either a veterinary hospital without the capabilities of performing some of the extensive surgeries that I am specially trained in performing and who would be comfortable referring clients to have those surgeries preformed by me, or an organization that boards or maintains animals that require routine care, such as a kennel or rescue.

    1. A connection not good for me would be someone looking to purchase raw land or in need of a commercial loan.
    2. As a favor, I would take a client who’s not ready to purchase for 6 months or more and just needs some guidance and direction.
    3. An ideal client would basically encompass first homebuyers, previous homeowners, investors, 2nd home/vacation homes, and/or someone interested in building a new house.
    4. My best harvest would be to make a connection with other Realtors, who have minimum 5yrs. experience actively selling Real Estate and are go getters. They would make great referral partners.

    1. A connection that is not good for me is someone who is shopping for the cheapest rate regardless of the coverage. A low rate without proper coverage will leave the client with undue liability when it’s time for a claim. Plus the retention on this client is very low.

    2. As a favor, I would write an auto policy for a vehicle that is liability only. These are smaller policies but they add up in the long run.

    3. My preferred client has good credit, college-educated, a home valued at 500k or higher, 2 or more cars, and a recreational vehicle (golf cart, boat, ATV). I have carriers that cater to this type of clientele. Lower rates, preferred claims service, and additional coverage included instead of a la carte. Plus these clients stay on the books for higher retention.

    4. The absolute best referral for me is a mortgage lender who represents subdivisions. The volume of business and the ability to bundle policies would be an excellent opportunity for me.

1 – Someone that knows they “should” make a change in their life, specifically to lose weight, but is not ready to take action. They “collect” information, programs, gym memberships, etc but are not ready to commit to taking action that results in change.
2 – As a favor I would do a motivational presentation for middle and high school students on overcoming obstacles.
3 – My preferred client is a professional woman, with 20+ pound to lose who is ready to take responsibility for the change she wants to create (lose weight, stop emotional eating, increase energy, keep promises to herself).
4 – Other medical providers that are encouraging their patients to lose weight and take care of themselves, but do not have the deep education or time in an office visit to help their patients lose weight and reverse, or avoid the unintended consequences of weight gain (chronic disease, joint pain, poor sleep, low energy, etc.)

    1. A connection that is not good for me is someone looking for auto body work. That is a specialty that we dont have the capacity to do.
    2. We will take look at anyone’s vehicle. If it is something we arent able to fix, we will recommend a company that we know has the same quality standards we do.
    3. My preferred client is anyone with a vehicle! Truthfully, I enjoy the clients that have had a bad experience at another shop in the past. We put in the time and effort to prove our honesty. That can include leaving the car on the lift so they can see the issue themselves, explaining the repair in detail so they understand what is involved, recommending the right repair whether that is with us or not, coordinating between the dealership and the customer, etc. We are working toward changing the negative opinion of our industry.
    4. Auto body repair, tire repair shops, auto parts stores. Basically other specialty companies in the industry that provide a specific service but not general auto repair.

    1. A connection that is not good for me would be someone who is not ready to make a decision, that person who is more kicking the tires trying to feel out the field first.
    2. The client I would take in as a favor would probably be that person who wants something for free whether it be a free inspection or diagnostic maybe new to a home so they are not ready to spend money in the beginning but hopefully will call me when ready.
    3. The business profile I look for most is the prepared client or at least someone that can finance a job, its not fun to go and spend time and effort to sale a job just to find out there is no money or means of acquiring money.
    4. The scope of business that would help me grow the most would probably be a property management company with a large list of clients looking for not only replacement options but long term service as well.
