When I am preparing a tax return, I collect all available information. This may be forms such as the W2 or 1099 or it may be accounting records such as those found in QuickBooks. I take this information and extract the relevant information to complete the return. I then review the return with my client to insure understanding before e-filing the return to state and federal tax authorities.
