How Do You Decide

As a financial advisor, I look at my client’s financial picture in a holistic manner. This means as I am addressing the growth of assets for retirement, college, or general investment, I also have to address risk of loss. That’s where asset protection (insurance) comes in. I refer out most types of insurance, like health, long-term care, or property and casualty, but I often do not refer out life insurance. There are a few reasons for this: 1) I also hold a life insurance license 2) I have access to dozens of carriers 3) I am super picky about who I send my clients to for life insurance. I absolutely want to ensure that whoever is selected to insure my clients is reasonably priced, reputable, and easy to deal with should a claim be filed.
