Meet Rob, tax manager at Lightening the Load, where he brings a sharp eye for detail and a genuine dedication to helping others. Rob’s journey is nothing short of remarkable—and maybe just a bit adventurous. In kindergarten, he missed his bus stop and took himself on an impromptu tour of the neighborhood until a kind stranger helped him home. Originally setting out to be a physical therapist, Rob quickly realized he wasn’t too keen on touching strangers. So, he switched to accounting, where he blew the curve on his first test, making classmates love to hate him just a bit. After earning his degree from University of North Georgia, Rob became a proud Double Dawg with a Master’s in Accounting and another in Financial Planning from UGA. Never one for the ordinary route, Rob once drove 16 hours from Austin to Atlanta in a van with nine guys. And let’s not forget his beautiful pothos plant, a loyal companion since college. So, whether he’s crunching numbers or keeping his plant thriving, Rob is the person who’s all about getting things done—with humor and heart. Let's give it up for Rob Burgess!
