Sam recently retired after 20 years in the Navy. So he's travelled everywhere.&nbsp; When I asked for his three favorite places, he said (with only the slightest pause) "I'll choose from three different continents", and gave me:

<li>Portugal (because it has beach and city, and Sam prefers city.)</li>
<li>Thailand (because it's beautiful, and not as well known as its neighbors.)</li>
<li>Guatemala or Brazil (notice how he slipped a fourth in?)</li>
</ol>
then, he had a extra, for the African continent: Egypt. Egypt is full of interesting surprises, Sam says
Sounds like he knows how to make choices. Sounds like he's good with criteria. Sounds like it would be wonderful to travel with Sam.
