WHY ARE TREY AND JIM HANGING OUT OUTSIDE OF PRISON TACO?

The Virginia Highland Team celebrates Trey Newton, and his mother Beth, and family who run what has become a wide-reaching non-profit out of Augusta inspired by Trey's brother, Alex, who was tragically murdered 8 years ago in East Atlanta.

The organization, https://www.somethingforalex.org, feeds, clothes, advocates for those in need in the Thomson/Augusta area.

They've set up an outreach program since the storms to help those who have been affected from the storm. As you know parts of Augusta were destroyed by the storm, and they are trying to help everyone they can.

We thought it would be a great opportunity to help folks through their organization. The idea is we donate individually what we can, and then have lunch with all of us there at Prison Tacos in support of Trey's organization and that's where he finds out what we've done. I would have him meet me for lunch and we all just kinda spring it on him - a fun way to show support for his mission.

And they did!
You can still contribute - Trey shared that the devastation is ongoing - many people still without power and internet. His mother reports they are supporting about 15 people a day through the food bank.
