Sharing a Single Best Thing shows you were paying attention – and attention is what you pay to get referrals.
How do you plan to have a Single Best Thing to share from a PowerBrew?

I believe that PowerBrews have two goals: To get to know a person's business and to know them, too. "What do you love about what you do?" is my favorite question. The answer is always a "Single Best Thing!"

Listening is always the key for me. I always like to ask about what's coming up for their business and for them personally.
Depending on whether this is a first-time meeting or I know the person well, the conversation can flow in several directions. I always listen for things that others on the team can gain new or better insight into the person so referring them can be easier.

I always try to remember that people love to talk about themselves, and that is very helpful. It is helpful because, in my business, I'm like a therapist because one of my goals is to get business owners to talk about themselves and their business.
Them opening up about their business, and their situation, is helpful because it gives me the information that I need to know in order to decide if and how I can be of assistance to them. By actively talking about their business and their situation, it gives them the chcance to really think about their issues and where they may need help.
However, while they are talking, when something "jumps" out as a single-best thing, I'll make a note of it so that I can reference it at a later time.

I do not pre-plan the powerbrews at all- my goal is to get to learn about the other member or potential member and look for common ground. I like to focus on what they do, how they started in that field, and family questions. I am building rapport and learning new things for potential Intro Minutes that I may have in the future. What I share for the single best thing will be what we have in common either personally or at work.
I have always been intentional about getting to know the person before the business so I will always find out the single best thing if its always authenic.
If it doesn't flow I will ask the question about goals and what they intend on achieving for the upcoming year.
