What To Say To Get Referrals: Story | Their Result

This month’s Referral Triggers will build a story.

Today, the third segment – the result the client has now.

Spend your entire minute telling us what one client is able to do now, because of your action.

Two weeks ago, you shared why they originally came to you – describe the result, for them.

Norma Drez has had 2 homes with Squirrels, which we eliminated for her. Most of our clients become friends and call us for referrals for just about everything. Norma's mother is 92 years old and is Diebetic. She was struggling poking her fingers several times a day to check her blood sugar. I showed her my " fancy" glucose monitor that I wear on my arm and how simple it is to use. She ended up buying it but couldn't figure out how to install it, etc. I went to her house and helped her put her first one on her arm, and walked her through the process of how the meter works. It was a game changer for both her and her daughter.

We're KenCan and we love love what we do and so do our customers.

Sarah lived her entire married life saving pennies.  Married at 19, she got used to saving money doing everything from clipping coupons to cutting her own hair.  While saving money was necessary at first, after time she and her husband could afford more.  She was a stay at home mother with no access to funds, so she never felt like she could demand money her husband made at his job.  After 42 years of marriage, she got tired of the constant verbal abuse and cruel treatment from a husband that called her stupid.  Getting her out of the marriage was more of a benefit to her than just avoiding the abuse.  In the division of assets, I got her property division and alimony that allows her to live comfortably.  The most meaningful part of that was not the money, but the freedom she now had.  Sarah proudly reported to me that she went to the salon without begging anyone for money, that one small thing being an emblem of her newfound freedom.

It’s a proven fact that if a child is fed good nutrition, their bodies will perform better – both physically and mentally.  Peggy’s son, Pete who was 8 years old, would only eat Mac & Cheese and Wendy’s Chicken Nuggets. She received numerous notes from Pete’s teacher about his poor behavior at school. Peggy would encourage her son to invite classmates over to play but none of them wanted to come nor would the kids invite Pete to their homes.

Peggy and Pete enrolled in the Healthy Starts for Families program where she paid for her Juice Plus capsules and Pete received his Juice Plus chewables free. A month later, I followed up them. Peggy was in tears. The night before, Pete asked to have a salad to eat and he had been invited to a classmate’s birthday party.  Juice Plus – inspiring Healthy Living Around the World.

Recently an individual was referred to me by my favorite mortgage person who had been turned down for a loan and had been told that the house she wanted was no longer available.  She was frantic because the house rent was going up 40% in one year and realized that she would soon be priced out of the market.  The combination of 30 years of mortgage experience and my 15 years of real estate experience made the absolute difference of turning this dream into a reality.  Not only was there a glimmer of hope for them, but her and her family now live in a home close to her work!

The result of my story started with the electrician, Dan, that did not have enough time in the day to follow up and take every phone call during regular working hours. Dan did not like the idea of returning voicemails. Because he had to follow up at the end of the working day with voicemails that were mostly robo calls and sales calls. Dan often found he was losing clients that moved on before he could get back to them. Dan was determined to maintain a strong personal one-on-one relationship with his clients and prospects regardless of what he did to solve the issue. He just did not know how to solve it.

We had Dan set up to have his mobile line with a forwarding option that if he doesn't answer or hits ignore the calls come directly to us to handle. That way all calls from his mobile are answered efficiently and effectively with a live human being. This was the answer to keeping his reputation as a service provider that maintains a strong personal relationship with his clients. We also forwarded his office number so that all calls came to us from his office.

The direct result to this action was that Dan was able to do his work and manage follow-ups in a more efficient manner. He started booking more work as we were scheduling his estimates for him right at the time of the call. It not only increased his revenues from lost opportunities due to lack of or timely follow-up. But it also increased because now we were taking his office calls during the weekend. The company never took calls during the weekend before. They only took office calls Monday through Friday 8:00 a to 6:00 p. before using us to connect his calls with care. So his bookings increased the following week after we started taking his calls on the weekend.

My client came to me with Type 2 Diabetes and very high blood glucose levels that she wanted to get lower because her doctor was threatening to put her on injected insulin.  Within a month her levels have come down to almost non-diabetic levels.  She now knows how to create meals, structure her day, and pursue behaviors that keep her blood sugar under control.  She's now planning to speak with her doctor about reducing or eliminating her other prescriptions.  My client now has a couple months of daily data to show that she is consistently choosing good habits with positive results in her blood sugar levels to support her doctor going along with her request.

My client ABC Fishing company was looking for a commercial policy that would provide both Professional Liability insurance and General Liability insurance all in a single policy without having two separate policies.  Her prior insurance carrier required them to have two separate policies and the extra expense of higher premiums. Our agency has a national brokerage relationship with some of the largest and best in business insurance carriers for almost every industry. Since I am a independent agent, I can shop my clients with multiple carriers in a single quote and fit them with the best product that meets their specific needs. As a result of my action, ABC Fishing company now has a single policy for both Error and Ommission and General Liabilty in a single policy for much less price  than other carriers was quoting them and she is very pleased.

Doug had worked as a pilot for Delta for 37 years and was eagerly anticipating his retirement as he neared his 65th birthday. He had already applied for Medicare and was reviewing his plan options when, unexpectedly, he received a letter from Social Security. The letter informed him that his Medicare Part B premium would be significantly higher due to his income. Concerned, Doug scheduled an appointment with me to discuss his options.

During our meeting, I explained that Social Security determines Medicare Part B premiums based on an individual's Adjusted Gross Income from two years prior. Since Doug had experienced a qualifying life event (retirement) that impacted his current income, we could submit an SSA-44 form to request that Medicare adjust his Part B premium based on his retirement income, rather than his earnings as an active pilot. This saved Doug over $5,000 annually.

Now, Doug is using those savings to book various excursions while he travels the United States in his motorhome. Having seen the country from 35,000 feet, he now wants to experience it from a different persective, with his feet firmly planted on the ground. He's already sent me a picture of him and his wife rafting down the Colorado river with Horseshoe Bend in the background.

My client has been doing his trade for 28 years based on relationships in a certain niche built over the years. He wants to be able to pass the business along to his son but with a broader, more sustainable fashion. Over the past year we have been working together, I developed a marketing strategy to elevate his brand to help him attract more of his best customers from the local market. Now that they are consistently getting more customers coming in, we just discussed how they are able to look at legit expansion plans to fulfill his vision of leaving a legacy to his son.

My action aligns with more care and concern for the customer. Two weeks ago I had a client opening a new coffee shop in Roswell. They signed up with Comcast. It was later uncovered the installation could not meet their desired date and would delay their opening. One of the competitors in the area was able to make that date as there would be no construction invloved. I cancelled my agreement with him to go to the other and meet their deadline. They are now open, up, and running.

My clients Seth and Kelly now are working with a balanced budget.  Using the Debt Snowball, they are prioritizing and focused on their debt payoffs.  They are maintaining communication with their creditors and are working through the negotiation process to settle their debts.

Both of them no longer feel shame and anxiety about their financial situation.  Kelly has gotten a promotion and a raise during this process which has given them even more resources to put toward their goals.

I received an email from Seth after they began working with me..."Thanks so much Tom!  We feel empowered and are getting so much out of this.  For the first time in years, we are excited about our financial future!"

Deen  came to me to find relief from the radiating pain from her lower back to her legs.
She said that she has been experiencing pain for two weeks now and would love to continue training with  her daughter for the upcoming marathon.

With a little assessment and active range of motion I knew that I would be able to get her the relief that she needed .

The massage techniques and range of motion exercises I used helped Deen  perform at her optimal level.

She was so excited and she was able to finish the race.

she sent two of her friends to me with raving reviews.

Dan is 73-years old with five grandchildren. His doctor faxed a referral for physical therapy services on his hip. After six weeks of 1-on-1 treatment by a doctor of physical therapy, Dan regained his function and avoided surgery. He can now perform daily tasks such as re-filling the dogs empty food bowl without pain in his hip. Moreover, Dan can pick up his grandkids again. He says there is no better feeling in the world than hearing those giggles and seeing those little smiles up close.

My Client came to me hoping to help her refugees make a home for themselves in Georgia.  Client opened a bakery and gave them a job.  Client was looking for help with the bakery's finances.  I took over the bakery's finances and started payroll for refugees.  Now they have an income and are paying taxes.  By putting them on payroll they will be able to show income and hopefully purchase a house and vehicle for their family  in the near future.  It was a big step and we are excited to how the bakery and the refugee soar in their new life!

John is a  hardworking father who has struggled with debilitating migraines for years. On most occasions, his headaches would escalate to the point of landing him in the emergency room, leaving him drained and frustrated.

It was a typical afternoon at work, when John felt the all-too-familiar pressure building behind his eyes—the precursor to yet another migraine. The timing couldn’t have been worse; his son had a football game that evening, and John had been looking forward to cheering him on all week. As the pain intensified, he worried he would miss the game. In the past, this would have meant a trip to the ER, but a recent conversation with a friend echoed in his mind: “You might be dehydrated—why not try an infusion spa?” That’s when John turned to Google and searched for infusion spas near him. Sluice Drip Spa popped up, and with nothing to lose, he decided to give it a try.

The moment John walked into Sluice Drip Spa, he was greeted with a calming environment by one of our compassionate medical professional who recommended the "Migraine Be Gone" IV hydration service. Within moments, he was relaxing in one of the private rooms, receiving a customized blend of hydration, electrolytes, and medications designed to target his migraine head-on. Before John left the spa, he stated that his pounding head began had to fade. By the time he reached the football field later that evening, his headache had vanished completely. John was amazed—he went from feeling like he would miss another important moment in his son's life to standing on the sidelines, screaming and cheering with full energy.

Thanks to Sluice Drip Spa’s Migraine Be Gone IV therapy, John didn’t just avoid another ER trip—he was able to make it to his son’s game, something he never thought possible just hours before.

My client Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd originally reached out to our company, due to being uncomfortable within their home. Their 24 yrs old HVAC system was struggling to cool the home and in return gave them an extremely high power bill, instead of saving them money. After properly inspecting the system, I found that the refrigerant levels were low, due to leaks on the evaporator coil and the compressor running high amp draws, over the manufacturer's required RLA limit. I presented them with an estimate to ugrade the system, which they agreed to do so. Currently, the Lloyd's are enjoying an HVAC system that has lowered their power bill and has also made them even more comfortable than before.

Thomas is a local who owns his own IT business and his wife claimed they were having issues with ants in their home. Upon my initial inspection I located ants trailing by their garbage can which isn't uncommon. I also located some more ants trailing in her hair salon downstairs, which was peculiar because there wasn't an abundance of water or food. She told me it was because she had gone online and found out that peppermint oil is a good at home remedy for ants. I told her any oil based product will attract ants because when it dries it leaves a residual behind that ants can feed on. I told her it was okay, but to clean the areas she applied this remedy to after I leave with a Clorox wipe. A clean area with no other enticing treats makes the ant bait I placed around these areas more affective because there are less items on the menu. After educating both of them on how the bait works and the treatment around their home I told them to give it time to work. On October 11th about 15 days later I contacted Thomas and he answer the phone ecstatic to say his ant problem had been eradicated. They still have the peppermint oil, but now know why not to use it for controling ants.

My client had a leak coming through their bathroom vent. They had standing water on their bathroom floor, their ceiling was dripping, and their fan was ruined. They had called another roofing company who told them they needed a new roof without getting on the roof to fully inspect the roof. I did a thourgough inspection and found that their pipe vent boot had a leak due to being rotted and cracked. I found various other areas on the roof that were at risk of developing leaks and advised them on the needed repairs. Repairs versus full replacement allowed them to extend the life of the roof and also allowed them to start saving for when they will need to replace the roof down the road. Once the repairs were completed they had no leaks and had years to come with no stress of wondering if their home was protected form the elements outside.

Kelly was in the process of selling her home and lived in a desirable location.  When she listed her home on the market, she had multiple viewings and offers, but noticed the offers were below asking price.  Buyers were under the impression that the roof would need replacing, but the roof was only 9 years old and in no need for repairs. Kelly lives in a heavily wooded area and her roof does not see much sunlight.  The lack of sunlight and trees around her home have caused an algae/bacteria (Gloeocapsa Magma) to form on her roof, which creates dark black streaking and marks, making her roof appear older than it is.  Kelly gave us a call to see if there was any way we could make her roof look better, since she knew the roof's age and condition was not the issue. We informed her that we have a soft-wash option for roofs that would not jeopardize the integrity of her roof or shingles. After our soft-washing services, Kelly's roof looked newer than ever before. With her roof freshly cleaned, she continued to have prospective buyers view her home. Buyers no longer questioned the age of the roof and were offering above asking. In the end result, Kelly was able to sell her home well above asking price.

One of my biggest KeyPoint with my clients is making sure and explaining everything from process to product before we get ready to paint their house. I did a house for a client last week who had no idea about your interior home finishes being different with different levels of protection. Her house was done in a complete flat finish which left all the handprints and Squished bug marks on the wall after she tried wiping them off. I was able to explain to my client that using a higher sheen in her paint would give her a more washable and durable surface. We did her whole interior with a satin and even did a test run to show her that she will be more than capable of wiping down the walls Whenever they get messy .

As a result of our efforts, FTS saw significant improvements. By conducting a thorough assessment of their internal processes, we identified disorganization and communication breakdowns. Implementing a centralized communication platform streamlined their workflow, ensuring everyone stayed informed and no essential emails or client requests were overlooked. Our training on best practices further enhanced system effectiveness, leading to a significant boost in their client reviews and ratings.

My ideal client would be a company encountering challenges FTS faced. Organizations that are experiencing disorganization and communication breakdowns, causing poor client reviews and ratings. They should also value expert guidance in evaluating their internal operations and implementing solutions that will boost client satisfaction and overall performance.

Because of the strategy we created together, my client Sarah now has peace of mind and a clear path to financial security. She’s able to save consistently, has established a solid college fund for her kids, and feels confident about reaching her retirement goals sooner than expected. But more importantly, she no longer feels the daily anxiety of financial uncertainty. This has allowed her to focus more on growing her business, spending quality time with her family, and even planning a long-overdue family vacation. Sarah recently told me, “I finally feel like I’m in control of my money, instead of the other way around.”

To revisit the previous section of the story, my clients who decided to split up their usage of COBRA coverage (for one of them) and a private policy (for the other). The result was them saving thousands by the end of the year, by strategically maximizing the use of the different insurance policies. In addition, they gained ME as a resource. My ability to answer any questions that come up regarding claims/benefits comparisons, and customer service was the direct result of me getting them a plan of action in place.

Finally, the amount of benefits they get lies as the final result of my aid in helping them see the counterintuitive nature of retaining COBRA insurance in a very strategic way.

Sharon had been dancing all her life.  She knew how to twirl and dip.  Dancing was her life’s dream until that one fatal day of getting into an accident.  Her life forever changed on March 3, 2023.  She needed an attorney who would understand how to obtain the best compensation for her and where to get it.

1.     The At-fault driver only had the minimum 25,000 policy limits, but her bodily injuries, consisted of a fractured wrist and second-degree burns from the airbags deploying.  Her medical specials were over a $100,000.

2.     Sharon had 25,000.00, in underinsured motorist coverage through her own policy insurance.  However, that wasn’t enough.

3.     We discovered Sharon lived with her sister Bettie who had 100,000 in policy limits.

I recovered all three policies.  I walked Sharron through the process of all the compensation available to her.  MY goal is to empower clients post a life-changing event and to seek maximum compensation.

Ledia Regis- Personal Injury Attorney- who stands for justice for her clients.
