Last week I took a class on video storytelling.
This is something I've known for decades that I need to do - and though I've tried to outsource it, I haven't been successful turning the results into value.
Here's what I want - because I think it's what Members want - information from workshops in video/podcast form, so it's easy to relisten to a small amount of information repeatedly.

The search engine optimization field changes all the time. This year was an exceptionally volatile year for search engine traffic. A big part of my job is staying on top of these changes and better understanding why they happen. I can then position my clients to benefit from new platform trends and features and discover strategy gaps with their competitors. Algorithm changes that Google made in 2024, along with the introduction of their experimental AI overviews, seriously impacted many companies - especially small businesses. Being on the edge of technology like this, up-to-date courses to learn more on these subject don't exist. So, I spent weeks pouring over technical documentation, experiments from colleagues in SEO, and various reputable search-related news websites and podcasts to distill my best understanding of the way to move forward. My clients benefit from this knowledge by being ahead of the curve and avoiding SEO-related pitfalls.

I have attended two conferences in the last few months, specifically for financial coaches. Sessions in both meetings focused on working in and working on our business.
In addition, I completed my certification in the Accountable Network, which is a client-facing portal where my clients can access over 60 different learning modules to help them in their financial journey.
One session that really stands out was a session that talked about helping clients with breakthroughs from getting stuck. This training has already reaped benefits for my clients in helping them move forward.

I am constantly reading and have attended multiple webinars. Currently, I am working with a dog that has fear and anxiety. The dog has bitten a neighbor. Fortunately I have the references to guide me on how to proceed with the care.

At ProfitAbility Business Solutions, we are always looking for avenues to learn and grow our knowledgebase. I recently attended a seminar on commercial lending at UGA, and learned about the loan requirements of community banks. This helps we better advise my clients who are seeking financing options to grow their business.

Hello folks, it’s your friendly neighborhood real estate expert. I just wrapped up a digital marketing course focused on real estate, and let me tell you, it’s like adding a supercharger to your car—it makes everything faster and more efficient.
The coolest thing I learned? Geo-targeting. It's like having a magic map that only shows your ads to people exactly where and when they’re most likely to be interested.
So, how does this help? For sellers, it means your property shows up right where interested buyers are looking. For buyers, you get to see homes that match your wants without wading through the ones that don’t. It’s all about making your real estate journey quicker and more tailored, ensuring you get what you need with less hassle.

I’m always taking classes because I love learning. I’ve completely nerded out on Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and learning about the unconscious mind, AKA the subconscious. I learned it takes a heck of a lot less effort to achieve our goals when our unconscious programming is aligned with our conscious goals, whether it's building confidence, improving relationships, or achieving their BIG stretchy career goals. So, for the last four years, I have taken several classes to dig deeper. I want to learn everything I can to help my clients unpack what’s happening at the unconscious level and reprogram their minds to be aligned with what they truly want their lives to look like. Having this knowledge (and skills) helps me unlock their full potential.

Recently, I attended an Intuit workshop where I learned about their new software, the Intuit Enterprise Suite. This ERP system bridges the gap between QuickBooks Online for small companies and more robust enterprise solutions. I discovered which clients could benefit from this software—especially those needing advanced reporting, forecasting, and project management tools.
I had the chance to speak directly with the software developers and participate in a hands-on demo. I provided feedback, encouraging them to consider not just the size or annual revenue of a company but the complexity of its accounting processes.
My clients will benefit from this new knowledge because I can now recommend a solution that's perfectly scaled to their needs. For those who've outgrown basic accounting software but aren't ready for a full-scale ERP system, the Intuit Enterprise Suite offers advanced features without overwhelming complexity. This means they can manage their finances more effectively and support their business growth with robust tools.
By staying updated with the latest technologies, I'm able to provide my clients with solutions that fit their evolving needs, helping them navigate the next steps in their business journey with confidence.

Recently I attended training at one of my companies well established locations. We discussed many subjects but where my clients will really benefit is the time we spent going over our computer systems. I was still foggy on some of the tools we have at our disposal and this training provided some clarification for me. Clients will experience a smoother onboarding and I will be more efficient in how I use our system.

The most recent education I participated in focused on the ethical and procedural standards for protecting borrower rights in the mortgage industry. One of the key takeaways was understanding the significance of guiding clients through the formal application process before offering specific advice about their financial situation or loan options.
I learned that while it’s natural for clients to seek quick answers about their potential eligibility or options, those answers are only as accurate as the information provided through a formal application, which includes a credit pull. This step not only ensures compliance with lending guidelines but also protects clients from receiving incomplete or misleading information based on hypothetical scenarios.
By emphasizing the application process, my clients benefit in several ways. They receive precise, tailored advice based on verified data, which enhances their confidence in the loan process. Additionally, they experience a more streamlined journey toward securing a mortgage, as the application sets a clear foundation for identifying the best options suited to their needs and qualifications. This approach ultimately leads to better outcomes and fewer surprises along the way.

To be licensed in Georgia Business Brokers are required to obtain a real estate license which requied 75 pre license course, passing an exam and a 25hour course post license course after which 36 hours of continuing education is required very four years. Most Georggia brokers are also members of the IBBA International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and the Georgia Assocaition of Business Brokers (GABB). Both offer presentations on various topics, webinars and training toward various desiginations such as the Certified Business Intermediardy. The IBBA recently offered a webinar on selling to an ESOP. I have a prospect who is interested in selling his business to his employees. One of the important things that came out of the webinar is at what size does it make sense to sell to the ESOP.
