What To Say To Get Referrals: Timing - Editorial Calendar | Filing Cabinet

One of the benefits of an editorial calendar is confirming you talk about all the parts of your business.

Using the File Cabinet metaphor: what are the four drawers – what four products or services do clients pay you for. Which is your favorite? Why?

Drawer One is Headshots and Branding where we create images that help show their best self on social media and other platforms.

Drawer Two is Women where understanding thier WHY, the client and I create images that incorporate her vision, tell her story and embraces her powers.

Drawer Three is Visits with Santa where the studio is transformed for an immersive exerpience with Santa. It is truly stepping into Santa's Cozy Library (this past year's set, Every year the set changes.

Drawer Four is Family where we create heirloom portraits that they proudly display on their walls.

My favorite is working with Women helping them embrace their vision, telling her unique story and seeing her embrace her power.

Four drawers I have fostered through my years in Powercore:

Managed Services - actively monitoring individual computers, networks, email, and communications to stay ahead of problems.
Installations - wired and wirless networks, cabling, new computers, new phones, or other new technology.
Backup - Backing up important data, but also checking the backups to confirm good function.
Security - Antivirus, white labeling, firewalls, and support for users

My favorite service is setting up a new office space. When I have the opportunity to set everything up from the beginning, everything is clean, fast, and documented.

When people join a PowerCore Team it's because they want referrals.

  1. So the first Drawer is Referrals - and that has the mentoring system and the workshops, and the extra workshops and the Extra Extra workshops are in it.
  2. The second drawer is Leadership Training - an independant referral network has a lifespan of 18 to 22 months, and then something happens, and things disintegrate.
This is addressed with leadership training. There are five Officers, plus Coaches. Each gets a distinct body of information and knowledge.
  3. The third drawer is Tools - from MembershipJournal, and FeedForward Cards, to Harlan with his subsitution system and filing cabinet tool, these make a difference.
Have you see the new meeting planner? https://powercore.net/account/api/attachments/11251_PowerCoreMeetingPreparationONEsided.pdf/
Knowledge Base > search mode > Meeting
  4. The fourth drawer is Connections - I interupted typing this to have a conversation with a guy in Ft. Worth, and connected him to past Member Tommy Schlosser, who now lives in Utah. The connections component is valuable.
A Visitor responded this week by saying how important it is to have great people to refer to.
One of my favorite examples of this was shared by someone I met at a party - ask me! (She knew about PowerCore because her therapist had referred her to so many people!)
    Connections don't happen magically - they're strategic.
For example Dr. Andrea Pack doesn't sub, but she does strategically use attending the extra workshops as a way to meet Members of other Teams.

Most clients come to me for "Content Marketing Strategy," "Search Engine Optimization," "Local SEO," and "Website Design." My favorite is "Content Marketing Strategy" because it combines research, data analytics, and strategic thought. Content marketing strategy lives at the intersection of analytics and creativity, requiring data-driven decisions and compelling storytelling. With 30 years of experience in content production and 25 years in programming, I love being able to bring together creative storytelling and technical expertise to solve complex marketing challenges for my clients. I also have a competitive nature, and I like the challenge of finding ways to help clients surpass their competitors. Seeing clients thrive when implementing the strategies I develop makes it especially rewarding.

1.  Debt Elimination Plan.  I guide my clients through a plan to systematically erase their debt for good.

2.  Cash Flow Planning.  We take a look at how they are spending their money, what's serving them well, and what needs to be tweaked to help them control their money instead of it controlling them.

3.  Savings Planning.  We set goals that are meaningful to them to create motivation to achieve their desired savings targets.

4.  Financial Wellness Workshops.  Employees who are stressed out about their money problems are not as productive, and this affects the company's bottom line.  I have a series of workshops that will educate, empower, and motivate employees so they can get better at handling their money as well as get the assistance they need to thrive.

My favorite is Cash Flow Planning because this is foundational to an effective plan for handling money in the household.  Once they can control their money they are no longer tied to the "I Have To Pay" mentality.

Mindset + Personal Growth
Health, Well-Being + The Body-Mind Connection
Professional Growth + Achieving BIG Goals
Relationships + Connection

My Favorite? It’s hard to choose—they’re all connected.

Professional Growth– This is usually a BIG reason why my clients come to me…they have BIG goals for their business. I love working with people who have BIG goals it’s exciting and fun! Together, we go after their BIG goals and create strategies for thriving professionally while still having an awesome personal life.

Health and wellbeing–it’s the foundation for everything people do—and everything they don’t do. It impacts energy, focus, and ability to succeed.

Relationships–people are literally programmed for connection. They are the fuel and energy to our BIG goals and the foundation to living a fulfilling life.

But if I had to pick, it would be mindset. When clients change how they think—reprogramming limiting beliefs, creating clarity, and building confidence—everything else transforms…their health, relationships, and the ability to achieve success without burnout.

When people come to Cheeta Tutoring, they want to take the best step forward in order to get into the schools and, ultimately, careers they want.

  1.  ACT/SAT In-Person Tutoring - I travel to a client's home to tutor their student.  We meet on a weekly basis to study strategies for either the SAT or ACT.
  2.  ACT/SAT Virtual Tutoring - Most of our sessions are virtual.  When possible, our first and last sessions are in-person.
  3.  ACT/SAT Group Tutoring - We have a group of 2-6 students that meet at a scheduled time for 10-weeks leading up to either the SAT or ACT.  We discuss strategies, homework, and any questions the students may have.
  4.  Math Tutoring (currently Algebra or Geometry) - An on-going adhoc tutoring program where we schedule sessions based on the student's needs.

My favorite of these services is the In-Person ACT/SAT Tutoring. Tutoring in person helps the student a lot more, plus I can always be sure that they're not distracted during the sessions.  I can also see how they work through problems in real-time whereas with virtual tutoring the students don't have the same freedom to write down what they're thinking.

I might as well call my filing cabinet "WordPress Websites".

  1. The first drawer is Accessible Web Design which means my client needs a website that complies with The Americans with Disabilities Act. Is your website ADA Compliant?
  2. The second drawer is Sustainable Web Design which means my client needs a website that is lean and really fast. Again, every website I build is lean and fast but some clients such as the Sarasota Bay Estuary Program truly care about sustainability because it is part of their mission. Is your website lean and fast?
  3. The third drawer is WordPress Technical Support. Many clients find me because they needed help with something on their website and they need a "one tie fix" Most recently, David, a business owner had a website that was completely down. With some one on one coaching he it back up and running even thought he doesn't have a maintenance plan with me.
  4. The fourth drawer is WordPress Maintenance plans. My plans include web hosting, SSL certificates, backups, tech support, updates to software (WordPress Core, Themes and Plugins) and much more.

All four of these are enjoyable but with Website Technical Support my client gets almost instant satisfaction. After working on hundreds of WordPress websites I still run across interesting things. The other great thing about Technical Support is these one time fix clients end up on a Maintenance Plan because they appreciate great support and experience.

At Small Town Bookkeeping, I have (4) basic services I provide. Setup, Clean Up, Catch Up, and Maintenance. Each of these processes offer their own set of challenges and rewards.

1. In Setup, I get to create a whole new world for my clients to help them manage the financial side of their business.

2.  In Clean Up, I take my clients financials from the panic inducing chaos of financials out of date more than 2 years, to an organized and manageable set of books with reports so they know how their business is doing.

3. In Catch Up, my clients have been fairly diligent about digging into their financial records and there is typically less than a year of data entry and reconciliations to complete.

4. With Maintenance, life is a bit calmer for both my clients and I and we can concentrate on the financial reporting, sending and collecting on invoices, paying bills, reconciling accounts and budgeting for future expenditures.

If I had to choose, I would say that Clean-Up is my favorite. Bringing order to chaos, clarity of income vs expenses to my clients and the clear and concise financial reports in the end.
