If you’ve received a referral record without contact information you know it was not a referral.
Giving a referral means making a complete introduction.
How do you do that? Do you share an endorsement letter, link to their profile page, make a 3-way phone call? How do you do “complete”?

When the personal profile page is referral focused, I use that. I text it to the client who is looking for someone.
Here are some good examples of referrral focused, that I've texted recently:
Then I place a call (if I'm driving) or text or email (based on where my fingers are) to the Member, so they recognize the name of my client when my client calls. I want their welcome to to warm, and that means expecting the outreach.

I use a link to my team member's personal profile page to send to the person looking for a referral. Then I will either text or email my team member to let them know about the person who is looking for help.

I keep my phone up to date with my team members' contact information including a link to their PowerCore profile page. That way I can quickly pass on information to the person tha needs assistance.
After I pass that along, I will text or email the member and let them know I passed along thier name and a bit of background to help them get up to speed for the contact.

When I give a referral, I will include the person's contact information, including phone number, and I will speak with the person I gave the referral to the next week to make sure they have contacted the referral. If it is a Facebook referral. I will email the person I gave the referral to with the name of the person I referred so they can reach out to them on Facebook and make a connection.

Be specific about why you’re making the referral and how it benefits both parties.
Tailor your approach based on the relationship and context (e.g., formal vs. informal introductions).
Make it easy for both sides to take action by providing all necessary details upfront.
Close the loop by confirming that your referral led to meaningful engagement. This will help prevent a bad referral in the future.

The vast majority of the time, I send a structured three-way email. My first paragraph is dedicated to the person that I'm referring. I provide a basic rationale on why I think the person I'm referring them to fills a need that they have. If there are procedural steps they need to go through (like with an estate planning attorney), then I'll explain those.
The second paragraph is intended for the person that I'm referring to. I'll help to understand why I felt this person would be a good referral for them, and if appropriate, I'll map out the current situation.
Lastly, I'll include the critical contact information both parties need to contact each other.

When I give a referral, I make it “complete” by sharing all the essential details in a single introduction. I typically do this through a group email or text message that includes both parties’ contact information and a brief explanation of why I’m connecting them. If more context is needed, I’ll include a link to the member’s PowerCore profile or offer to set up a three-way phone call. Before making the introduction, I also call the member I’m referring to give them background on my client’s situation and confirm that their services align with the client’s specific need. By doing this, I create a warm, personal connection and ensure both parties are genuinely excited to explore the opportunity.

When I make a connection, it comes with several steps.
I first continue a separate discussion to figure out the purchasing timing for the referral. Then I discuss with them their preferred method of communication if I don't know it already. My most common form that I default to is a three-way-email where I talk about both parties, make the introduction, provide contact information, and let it sail.
Following up with both the referral and the powercore member if I heard nothing come of it is always on my list as well, after a week.
