I opened my agency to educate, equip, and empower my clients to protect what’s important to them when the unexpected happens. Everyone has insurance of some kind, but many don’t understand how it really works for them. In my business, my clients receive equality in communication – making insurance easy to understand, timely follow-up with received requests, and advocating for them when necessary with the corporate office (specifically with claims). The consistency in how we communicate and provide service is by having consistent processes. That way each client has a consistent experience, and we earn their trust and confidence.
There is also equality in relationship-building. It doesn’t matter their age, demographic, number of policies, etc. My team and I get to know each client personally and provide options and recommendations based on their individualized needs. Each client receives a handwritten welcome card when they join the office, we celebrate their birthdays and send holiday cards. And most importantly, we invite each client to have an in-person/virtual with us at least once a year to review their policies. Even if nothing has changed, they talk to us about how their year has been, and we give them an opportunity to ask questions/make adjustments to their policies. Oftentimes, we uncover needs not even thought of because we consistently check-in to show we care.
