Alex Hormozi says there are only a few ways to grow a business: talk to people one-on-one, put out content, or run ads. But a lot of business owners think they’re not ready for ads, so they stay stuck trying to grow by meeting just a few people a week, one-on-one.
I make it less scary for business owners to try print ads, because it’s not a huge expense or long-term commitment. Like Sandra, from my own neighborhood Facebook group. Her shower door company had relied on word-of-mouth for years and was afraid to try ads. She did a one-time ad placement with me and got a boost right when she needed it. Now she has the confidence to keep advertising and growing.
I’m a great referral for a handyman or house painter. When you see them putting out yard signs on busy streets, you’ll know they’re ready for the next level. They want their years of hard work to pay off and help them hire more teams.
Ask them when they last got something in the mail that made them stop and smile. Then tell them you can connect them with someone who can put them in front of way more people than they could ever meet one-on-one.
