To be licensed in Georgia Business Brokers are required to obtain a real estate license which requied 75 pre license course, passing an exam and a 25hour course post license course after which 36 hours of continuing education is required very four years. Most Georggia brokers are also members of the IBBA International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and the Georgia Assocaition of Business Brokers (GABB). Both offer presentations on various topics, webinars and training toward various desiginations such as the Certified Business Intermediardy. The IBBA recently offered a webinar on selling to an ESOP. I have a prospect who is interested in selling his business to his employees. One of the important things that came out of the webinar is at what size does it make sense to sell to the ESOP.
