Projected starting date is crucial in our business.  Having adequate time to understand what the client is looking for, designing a concept around those needs, estimating the costs, and then creating a plan to execute the final design is very important.  It also helps us create a realistic timeline for the client.  Too quick and the client will feel rushed and important details may be missed.  Too slow and the client may lose focus and feel their needs are not being met.
